Monica Lewinsky once answered the door naked in horrible, florescent lighting, and now she strongly advises against it.

The podcast host talked about the "funny" yet traumatizing experience with comedian Chelsea Handler during the July 10 episode of her iHeartRadio podcast Dear Chelsea.

In the latest episode, Handler talks to Lewinsky about the premises of her podcast "Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky," rage, "the perfect temperature for sleeping, and why you should never answer the door naked." Lewinsky explained that if you're going to pull that "confident girl" move, you need to make sure the lighting is good.

"I was randomly thinking about someone I had dated a long time ago. He was more into me on this date and we ended up, you know, spending part of the night together. And when he was leaving, I was like, oh, I'm going to do that confident girl thing where I'm going to like walk him to the door naked, and I totally forgot that the lighting in the entryway of this little studio I was living in in New York at the time was terrible. Horrendous. And I literally saw the look on his face change and the invitation for him to cook me dinner when I got back from my trip like never materialized. I mean it was also kind of fluorescent and it was just the worst."
