I understand there are good, reputable breeders. People who love dogs as much as I do and would never KNOWINGLY hurt their pups. However, and I have had breeders mad at me for saying so, adopt don't shop. I still believe that is best, generally speaking. Of course we need good dog breeders. Those that care and are honest people. The problem is people who abuse, neglect and hurt animals just to make some money supplying puppies, often sick, to stores or people who want to have a "pure bred" at a lower cost. Many times, you are buying a puppy that is sick, in-bred, or mixed with a breed maybe you don't want.
We've all seen the video of these backyard breeders being busted. It's a horrible life for these babies.
I don't know what the origins are of the good girl featured in this video, but I DO know there are HUNDREDS of amazing pups that don't have a home that would be sweet forever companions for you!
