'SESAME STREET' STAR DEAD AT 81
Emilio Delgado, who played Fix-it Shop owner Luis Rodriguez on Sesame Street for 45 years, has died at the age of 81. His wife, Carole Delgado, told TMZ that the actor, who had been diagnosed with Multiple myeloma in December 2020, was surrounded by family when he passed yesterday at his home in New York City.
A rep for Sesame Street told People, “Emilio proudly laid claim to the 'record for the longest-running role for a Mexican-American in a TV series.' We are so grateful he shared his talents with us and with the world."
