Join Us for the NewsRadio 1110 KFAB Presidential Debate Viewing Party!

Oak Hills Country Club will host the first NewsRadio 1110 KFAB Presidential Debate Viewing Party of the 2020 election season this Tuesday night, September 29th. The event is free and open to the public as well as Oak Hills members. No reservations are required. Food will be available to purchase, and the cash bar will be open. The debate begins at 8pm, but you're encouraged to arrive early, enjoy dinner and get a seat.

Yes, like any restaurant or venue in Omaha, masks are required indoors until you are seated with food/drink. Due to capacity limits, we'll do our best to accommodate everyone but it's possible this event will reach capacity and people will be turned away. That said, Oak Hills has been chosen because of their large, spacious banquet facilities and we are bringing in multiple large screens and speakers so everyone can see and hear this debate between President Trump and former Vice-President Biden.

For those who have never attended one of our events before, this is definitely a fun, party atmosphere. Like watching a Husker game, you're encouraged to cheer, boo, laugh, cry -- whatever. Just don't be a jerk. There will be people there supporting both candidates, and anyone picking fights or continuously making so much noise people around you can't hear what's being said will be asked to leave. (This has never been a problem in all the events we've hosted like this in the past, and I don't anticipate it will be a problem this Tuesday night.)

Oh, yeah: The coronavirus. If you're one who is rightfully concerned about this virus, I would encourage you to sit this one out and listen to the debate on 1110 KFAB radio that night. And, my goodness, if you have reason to believe you have COVID-19 please don't even think about coming to this event! While all local health guidelines will be followed at this event, we should all understand the realities of this situation and make our own adult decisions about the level of risk we're willing to accept. Cool? Cool!

So -- with all that said -- I hope you'll join me, Bird, and fellow NewsRadio 1110 KFAB listeners at this fun event Tuesday night at Oak Hills Country Club, just south of 120th and Q!
