WE FOUND TOILET PAPER IN OMAHA!

Outlook Nebraska toilet paper available to order online during COVID-19 shortage

OMAHA, Neb. (March 18, 2020) – As grocery stores, retailers and businesses struggle to keep up with the demand for toilet paper amidst supply chain constraints brought on by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Outlook Nebraska’s production facility has capacity to manage some local shortfalls for the general public and commercial enterprises.

Outlook Nebraska, an Omaha-based nonprofit that employs people who are blind and visually impaired in the production of its bathroom tissue products, currently produces more than 35 tissue and towel products. It is the largest employer of the blind in Nebraska.

“Our tissue products are made by individuals who are blind or have low vision, many of whom would not have employment opportunities outside of Outlook, though they are more than capable,” said Eric Stueckrath, CEO of Outlook Nebraska. “Purchasing from Outlook supports our mission to provide new, meaningful employment opportunities for people affected by vision conditions.”

Outlook Nebraska primarily serves federal government customers. During a shortage driven by panic buying and uncertainty about the spread of the virus, Outlook is extending its services to help individuals, area businesses and distributors meet increased demand for toilet paper.

People wanting to purchase toilet paper from Outlook Nebraska must pre-order at https://www.outlookne.org/socially-responsible-purchasing. The following pickup times are available at the nonprofit’s headquarters, 4125 s. 72 St., while supplies last.

·March 18 – 2 to 6 p.m.

·March 19 – 2 to 6 p.m.

·March 20 – 2 to 6 p.m.

·March 21 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pickup Instructions

·Ordering must be completed online. Cash will not be accepted at Outlook Nebraska.

·Orders will be taken to vehicles; no visitors will be permitted into the building.

“We recognize there is a need in our community and we have the capability to meet heightened demand. It’s important to us that vulnerable populations are able to have their basic needs met,” Stueckrath said. “We are fortunate to be able to be of help because we recently made investments that increased our production capacity by 40 percent.”
