FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP CALLS FOR DEPUTY NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER TO BE FIRED
Melania Trump publicly called yesterday for the deputy national security adviser to be fired, in what AP described as an "extraordinary move" from the first lady.
After there were reports yesterday that President Trump had decided to dismiss Mia Ricardel from her position, Melania's Trump's spokeswoman released a statement that said: "It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House."
The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that Mrs. Trump's staff and Ricardel had clashed during the first lady's solo visit to Africa last month. AP cited a White House official as saying that Ricardel wanted to go on the trip but was told there was no room on the plane for her and others who'd initially planned to go, and she then threatened not to send any National Security Council staff.
