'BIRDNESTING': EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW DIVORCE TREND
Divorce is serious business, and it can really have an impact on kids. But a new trend, called 'birdnesting,' at least eliminates all the traveling back and forth between the split parent's homes. In this case, the divorced parents take turns living in a home where the kids reside permanently.
Of course, this means kids wouldn't have to be uprooted, but it also means the couple has to communicate and compromise regularly.
The trend also assumes each parent is able to afford their own place in addition to funding the shared home for their children.
