CLAIM: "The Wonder Years" Canceled by Accusation

ALLEY MILLS SAYS THE WONDER YEARS WAS CANCELED OVER HARASSMENT CLAIM

The Wonder Years star Alley Mills is alleging that the hit ABC sitcom was canceled after six seasons because of a sexual harassment case filed against Fred Savage and Jason Herney.

Mills, who played their mother on the show, says a former employee filed the suit.

“When we shot the series finale, which was in Whittier, nobody knew whether or not The Wonder Years was going to be renewed,” Mills says. “That’s because of a completely ridiculous sexual harassment suit that was going on against Fred Savage, who is the least offensive, most wonderful, sweet human being that ever walked the face of the Earth.”

The suit Mills is referring to is thought to be that of costume designer Monique Long, who alleged they verbally and physically harassed her on-set.
