HASH BROWNS RECALLED FOR POSSIBLE WEIRD GOLF BALL CONTAMINATION
Food company McCain Foods is recalling bags of its frozen hash browns because of possible contamination, not with any dangerous bacteria, but with golf balls. The Roundy's Brand and Harris Teeter Brand of hash browns are being recalled because of the possibility that there are pieces of crushed up golf balls mixed in with the potatoes.
McCain Foods said the golf balls, quote, "may have been inadvertently harvested with potatoes used to make this product." How that happened? Who knows.
