The just-confirmed new Commerce Secretary, billionaire investor Wilbur Ross, wore velvet slippers to the House chamber on Tuesday night for President Trump's address before a joint session of Congress.
The 79-year-old is believed to have been wearing smoking slippers from Stubbs and Wootton, which run from around $525 to $650, and they were embossed with the Commerce Department's emblem.
