Proof that Trump Can't Win

President Trump's detractors don't want him anywhere near the Oval Office doing the business of the American people ... but he better not be out golfing!!!!

Here's the report from CNN:

President Trump has gone to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida nearly every weekend since becoming president and has spent some time golfing during those trips -- six times during his first month in office, according to CNN.

But his aides are being tight-lipped about how much golf Trump has played since taking office, and that's likely because of how much Trump criticized his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, for it. Not only did Trump criticize Obama's golfing, but he said during a 2016 campaign event that if he was elected, quote, "I'm going to be working for you, I'm not going to have time to go play golf." Trump's criticism even went back to before he was running for president, including an October 2014 tweet in which he said: "Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the US, President Obama spent the day playing golf. Worse than [Jimmy] Carter."

CNN reports that aides wouldn't confirm that Trump played golf during his Mar-a-Lago weekends, but it was able to be figured out from social media posts and interviews with pro golfers who joined him. Most recently, it was revealed that Trump golfed this past Sunday (February 19th) with one of the world's top-ranked golfers, Rory McIlroy, when McIlroy told a golf blog he played a full 18 holes with Trump, former New York Yankees player Paul O'Neill, and the CEO Of Clear Sports. A photo of the four also was tweeted out by the blog, No Laying Up

That contradicted, however, what White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Sunday, when she said Trump had just played "a couple of holes" that morning. When asked later about what McIlroy had said, Sanders said that Trump, quote, "intended to play a few holes and decided to play longer."

Scott's Note:  I need to translate for you non-golfers.  "A couple of holes" to a golf addict (Trump is one) is only 18 holes!  We'd play all day if we could!  He's certainly not the only golf addict who has lied about playing.  I've told my wife I was with a mistress before, just so she wouldn't get mad that I was out golfing!
