Quit Taking Selfies with the Recently Deceased!

PEOPLE ARE FACE-SWAPPING WITH DEAD RELATIVES

Funeral directors have been trying to get people to stop taking selfies with bodies. Now, a trend has swept social media that sees people “face swapping” with bodies in caskets.

One funeral director in in Texas even got in on the trend, sparking fury among clients after posing with their dead relative’s closed caskets to promote his business on social media (the deceased's family didn't find it amusing).

The trend even spawned the Seflies at Funerals Tumblr page.

The president of the corporation of funeral directors of Quebec, Denis Desrochers, told RadioCanada funeral directors have warned mourners to stop posing next to caskets adding, “In many funeral parlors we have very clear rules around limiting selfies or we tell the public that the families don’t want selfies.”
