A rivalry between Nebraska and Colorado in football is contrived, especially since the teams are no longer in the same conference and playing each other annually. But while it was called a rivalry in the 80's and 90's because Colorado coach Bill McCartney said it was, there were a few years when the game had the feeling of a rivalry.
