AMAZON'S MADE-UP HOLIDAY IS FORCING OTHER RETAILERS TO OFFER CRAZY SALES
Amazon Prime Day is forcing other retailers to step up their game. The made-up Amazon holiday begins today, but it has prompted competitors like Target, Macy's and J.C. Penney to offer significant sales.
Target, for one, is kicking off a sale tomorrow offering 30% off Target-exclusive home brands, select baby gear, and Google products, as well as 25% off beauty and personal-care items.
J.C. Penney is in the midst of a three-day promotion (starting today) called "Cyber-in-July", Macy's had a "Black Friday in July" promotion last week, and Lowe's is offering 10% off sitewide today and tomorrow for new and existing MyLowe's Customers.
Many retailers will also price-match Amazon's Prime Day deals, including Home Depot, Staples, Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond.
