EXPERTS: MILLENNIALS ARE TURNING INTO HUNCHBACKS
Millennials may be doomed to look older than their years if they keep using technology as they do. Dr. Brian Wallace, a chiropractor based in New Jersey, explains more and more Millennials are experiencing "tech neck," a condition in which the neck loses its natural curve, due to slumping over their hand-held electronic devices.
As a person's posture gets worse their upper back muscles stretch out and the neck creeps forward, this makes the head weigh at least ten pounds more than it should. In turn, it causes structural back problems, and in extreme cases it can even cause breathing problems.
