Lincoln Community Corrections Facility Inmate Missing

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says an inmate is missing from the Community Corrections Center - Lincoln.

34-year -old Amanda Eckmann did not return Monday afternoon from a furlough to look for a job.

Her electronic monitoring device was found in Lincoln near N. 44th and Superior Streets.

Eckmann started her sentence in July of 2024: Two to seven years for criminal possession of four or more financial transaction devices and possession of a controlled substance.

Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Nebraska State Patrol.

Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility in the state corrections system.

Inmates are allowed to work, attend school, and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
