(Nebraska) -- A new study finds Nebraskans spend hundreds of dollars a year on their favorite team.
Sports betting website Betting.net finds Nebraska sports fans spend an average of $588 dollars a year on their favorite team including things like ticket costs and merchandise. 55% of fans say they spend more when their team is on a winning streak. 27% say they have to cut back on other expenses at times to support their team, which usually means cutting back on entertainment.
South Carolina tops the list, with fans spending an average of $1,464 dollars per year on their team.
