Omaha is one of the most financially responsible cities in the U.S.
The study by LendingTree factors in metrics including debt-to-income ratios, the number of maxed-out credit cards, and average amount of money spent on housing costs.
Omaha ranks eleventh most financially responsible nationally. The study says 21% of Omaha households have maxed-out credit cards, and about the same percentage spend more than 35% of their income on housing.
Des Moines and San Jose, California, are tied as the most financially responsible cities in the nation.
