(Iowa City, IA) -- Federal lawyers have been granted a 60-day extension to respond to a lawsuit challenging the revocation of student visas in Iowa.

Earlier this year, four international students from the University of Iowa sued the Department of Homeland Security after their F-1 student visas were revoked. Attorneys for the department requested an extension, citing staff shortages and a growing number of similar deportation cases nationwide.
