(OMAHA, NE) -- Construction on the new Mutual of Omaha skyscraper in downtown Omaha is on track for a 2026 opening.
A development executive says the tower's concrete core has reached the 37th floor, with the steel structure reaching the 27th. The steel frame is expected to be complete by the end of this year, while work on the glass exterior and interior systems continues.
The project's crane is currently about 25 feet shorter than the tower's final height, providing a preview of the new skyline.
