(Iowa) -- There is a haze across much of Iowa and into eastern Nebraska today.
“We are going to have some wildfire smoke moving in from Canada today and again on Saturday. It will lead to some filtered sunshine, which will appear as hazy skies on those days,” said Meteorologist Kristy Carter.
She says the haze from the smoke will be more visible in eastern Iowa today (Friday) and in northern Iowa on Saturday. Carter notes that the smoke is in the upper levels of the atmosphere, and that wind speed could determine whether the smoke descends into breathable air.
