(Omaha, NE) -- The next few nights will be the biggest so far this spring for bird migration through Nebraska and Iowa. The Birdcast migration map shows 397 Million birds will fly north during the late-night hours Monday and Tuesday. They're so high it takes a telescope to see them, but NexRad weather radar does pick up the flocks. The birds land during the day to rest and eat. Some will stay in Nebraska and Iowa for the summer, others will continue north.
