The Nebraska State Patrol says troopers removed 18 impaired drivers from the roads as part of a special enforcement effort on and around St. Patrick’s Day.
Troopers also issued 323 citations for speeding, seven for open alcohol container, six for minor in possession of alcohol, 15 for driving under suspension, nine for no seat belt, and six citations for improper child restraint.
Troopers also performed 97 motorists assists during the enforcement period.
The campaign ran from Saturday, March 15th through St. Patrick's Day, made possible in part from a grant of $20,172 from the Nebraska Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Office.
