(Iowa) -- The first ever Celebrate Iowa's Outdoors Day is Thursday starting with a news conference at the Iowa State Capitol.
The news conference is scheduled for 7:45am in the Capitol rotunda, and it will include information from two recent studies showing the economic impact of outdoor recreation to the state's economy. Studies from Iowa's County Conservation System and the Iowa Bicycle Coalition show that outdoor recreation in Iowa adds roughly $4.6 billion dollars to the state's gross domestic product.
More information on the state's first Celebrate Iowa's Outdoors Day is available at the event's website.
