(Omaha, NE) -- More information came out this weekend about a car fire early Friday morning in Omaha.
A man was pulled from a burning car with severe burns.
Police investigators now say the man set a small campfire inside the car to keep warm.
When officers arrived about 1:30 am Friday the car and the man were on fire.
Omaha Police Lieutenant Queño Martinez then pulled the man out of the car.
The victim has severe burns and is hospitalized in critical condition.
Lieutenant Martinez has minor injuries and was treated at a hospital and released.
