Patrol Readies For Saturday Confluence of Three Husker Sports

Husker Saturday football traffic levels are expected with the Nebraska Spring football game, Nebraska baseball, and Husker softball all going on in Lincoln.

“This is going to be a busy Saturday for Husker fans, and we want everyone to stay safe on their way to and from the games,” said Colonel John Bolduc. “Our troopers will be working on the road and in the air to keep traffic flowing before and after the Spring Game, as well as in the stadium assisting with safety operations.”

The Patrol partners with several public safety agencies, including UNL Police, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Police, and the Nebraska Department of Transportation to maintain public safety in and around Nebraska Memorial Stadium.

Much like a regular season football Saturday, the NSP Aviation Support Unit will even be in the air to provide an eye in the sky to support traffic operations.

State Troopers call on all drivers to focus on the road, watch their speed, drive sober, and buckle up.

Any motorists who want to report a dangerous driver or need assistance on the road can call *55 to reach the "NSP Highway Helpline."
