One person is dead after an accident on Highway 75 about a quarter of a mile south of Highway 34. The accident happened in the southbound lanes.
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office reports there were four vehicles involved in the accident. As all four vehicles approached the Highway 34 overpass, a motorcycle collided with a minivan on the inside lane of travel. That collision triggered another accident between a work van and a pickup. Both the work van and the pickup were trailing the motorcycle and the mini-van before the collision.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. The name is being withheld pending notification of family.
The driver and passengers of the pickup were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injures. Both the driver of the work van and the driver of the mini-van were taken to a hospital as a precaution.
All the drivers will be tested for drugs and-or alcohol. Their names are also being withheld at this time.
Highway 75 southbound will be closed until approximately 9:30 Tuesday evening.
