No Charges Will Be Filed In Accident That Claimed Bellevue Girl's Life

Bellevue Police have identified the six year old girl who was struck and killed by a vehicle during an Easter gathering Sunday night near 23rd and Emiline.

Lt. Andy Jashinske says just before 8:00 rescue crews arrived to find Aubrey Oregon in the street with no pulse. Officers administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Aubrey was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators say 59 year old Dale Valverde of Omaha had been asked to move a vehicle from the driveway to the street. As he pulled out of the driveway and away from the curb, police say Aubrey ran near or in front of the vehicle was run over. Valverde was unaware it had happened.

Police said the family considered Valverde, "to be a grandfather to the child." He was not cited.
