Arrest Made In Shenandoah Murder

There has been a heavy law enforcement presence in Shenandoah, Iowa since early Monday morning. This after a deadly shooting around 4 a.m. at Manti St. and Nishna Road.

The victim has been identified as 33 year old Joshua Jordan.

Those who called to report the shooting identified the gunman as 34 year old Toby McCunn. He was arrested around 2 p.m. and has been charged with first degree murder.

Before being booked into the Page County Correctional Facility, McCunn was taken to a hospital for a leg injury.

The law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation include the Shenandoah Police Department,the Red Oak Police Department, sheriff’s offices from Page, Fremont and Mills Counties, The Iowa State Patrol and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

What led to the shooting has not yet been released.
