Teen In Trouble After Flashing BB Gun At Middle School Students

A thirteen year old Lincoln boy is in trouble with the law for the second time this week after he was caught flashing what turned out to be a BB gun.

Lincoln Police say just after 3:00 Monday afternoon, a witness reported that he was driving northbound on 48th Street between C Street and Valley Road when he observed a gray Pontiac G5 driving by a group of students.

A boy in the rear seat of the Pontiac pointed what the witness described as a black handgun at several students, causing them to run. The witness provided the license plate number and officers located the vehicle near 54th and Spruce Street. A replica bb pistol was located in the backseat. The back seat passenger turned out to be a thirteen year old on conditional release for vandalizing College View church on Sunday.

The teen was arrested for violation of a conditional release and referred to the county attorney for disturbing the peace.
