I have a good friend who's a football official in the Big Ten Conference. He has some incredible, amazing stories but, of course, everything's off the record 'cuz he's still working games. Dan Capron, on the other hand, just retired, so he's free to talk...and talk...and talk. Which is what he did in an interview with a Chicago tribune reporter. It's great stuff.
