Madalyn Parker (pictured below) is, a 26 year old who works for a small Michigan tech company told her boss and co-workers that she was taking two days off to focus on her mental health. Parker, who has suffered from anxiety and depression, received a reply from her company's CEO applauding her for her honesty. The emails went viral prompting a conversation in offices across the country about the value of being allowed to use personal sick days for mental health time off, just as it is used for physical ailments. Wellness expert John Edmundson joined us to chime in on that discussion.
