It is unknown if North Korea could launch a nuclear weapon in the atmosphere that would cause an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that could wipe out a large portion of our electrical grid. But Michaela Dodge with the Heritage Foundation says that U.S. power companies should be hardening our electrical system to fend off such an attack or a naturally occurring EMP from the sun.
