After 40 years, the Creighton University Medical Center at 30th and California will close at 7 AM Friday morning. Simultaneously, the Creighton Medical Center will open it's level one trauma center and medical center at Bergan Mercy at 75th and Mercy Road. Also opening at that time near the old hospital at 24th and Cuming will be a new emergency room and outpatient clinic to be known as Creighton University Medical Center-University Campus. We learned more about the new chapter in Creighton Medical Center history from CHI Health/Creighton University Medical Center at Bergan Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Devin Fox.
