Better Business Bureau-Omaha President Jim Hegarty says there is a group going door to door that is seeking donations to assist veterans and active duty members of the military. It's a scam. Jim also points out that summer is prime time for door-to-door solicitors offering home repair services, magazine subscriptions, etc. Hegarty advises looking for red flags that would indicate you are about to get scammed.
