Some concern this week for those that take ibuprofen and other common over-the-counter medications known as NSAID's (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) when a study released showed a connection between use of those medications and heart attacks. UMNMC cardiologist Samer Sayyed told us this advances something that doctors already knew and that a variety of factors need to be considered to determine whether someone should avoid taking these medications.
