Bob Batt, chairman of the Nebraska State Liquor Commission tells us what factor went into the commission's 3-0 decision on Wednesday to cancel the liquor licenses of the three stores that sell beer in Whiteclay, Nebraska. The retailers sell more than 3.5 million cans of beer each year in a town with a population of 9. The buyers are residents of the Pine Ridge Reservation, located less than a football field from Whiteclay, where alcohol sales are banned.
