State and federal law enforcement as well as the Nebraska Broadcasters Association are beginning a campaign to avoid an epidemic of opioid overdoses and deaths. Attorney General Don Peterson says that Nebraska so far has avoided a major problem, but some states have seen a major growth in addiction, overdoses and death.
