Chris Baker started coming to Omaha as a comic in the early 90's working at The Funny Bone Comedy Club and because of the great audiences and spirit of the city Omaha quickly became his favorite stop on tour. Later Chris's career moved into Talk Radio starting at WIOD in Miami Florida until an opportunity in Omaha opened up and Chris couldn't resist. Most people thought he was crazy leaving Miami for Omaha in January but Chris said; "you don't know Omaha" and loaded up the car and headed north. It was in Omaha where Chris met and married his wife Sarah. Chris's career took him to Kansas City, Houston and Minneapolis. He was nominated Radio and Records "Major Market Talk Host Of The Year" 3 years in a row. (where a rigged system kept him from winning...ahem) Chris and his wife always wanted to come back to Omaha to raise their 3 boys and when the opportunity to come and work at the legendary KFAB arrived, the family couldn't get back fast enough. "I love Talk Radio and to work at a legendary radio station like KFAB that is such an important part of a great community is a real blessing" says Chris, "and I have to work hard and maintain the high standards set by the rest of the KFAB staff. The Chris Baker Show is heard every afternoon from 2-6 p.m. on News Radio 1110 KFAB. The Chris Baker show likes to mix the serious with the absurd or as Chris says "it's a mix of the salt and the sugar" sometimes known as "Road Range Relief."
