C.B. Firefighter/Medic Charles Jones
(Council Bluffs, IA) -- The Council Bluffs community is honoring and remembering a longtime Firefighter/Medic who died on Monday.
The department says Charles Jones served with the Council Bluffs Fire Department for 19 years.
He suffered a medical emergency after responding to a structure fire.
The city says Jones responded to countless emergencies and was dedicated to keeping residents safe.
He's survived by his wife and children.
“Charles Jones dedicated 19 years of his life to protecting and serving this community. His loss is heartbreaking for our entire department,” said Chief Robert Schoening. “We are grateful for his service, his friendship, and the lasting impact he made on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.”
