(Omaha, NE) -- A former Boys Town assistant family teacher made an initial court appearance Wednesday on two counts of felony child abuse without injury.
A Douglas County Court judge set bond at $75,000 for 40-year old Margo Hoos after she was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Jeffrey Everett, a now-terminated family teacher at Boys Town, and his wife, Jenni, had each been earlier charged with felony child abuse in this case that includes accusations of a youngster being forced to stay in a closet for hours without food, water, or use of the restroom, and another being denied medical care for an arm injury.
Boys Town earlier released a statement saying "the alleged conduct in this situation is deeply troubling and wholly inconsistent with their policies, training, and values. It has no place at Boys Town."
