Omaha 2026 Neighborhood Grants Awarded

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Mayor John Ewing Jr. on Friday awarded $54,520 in grants to 16 neighborhood or community groups. Grants ranged from $2,500 to $5,000.

Neighborhood grants this year go to the following organizations:

· Benson Community Garden - Benson Community Garden's Infrastructure Upgrades ($1,595)

· Benson Neighborhood Association - Benson Community Events and Beautification ($3,000)

· BFF Omaha (Benson First Friday) - Community Fridge and Food Pantry ($5,000)

· City Sprouts - Free Fridge and Pantry Capacity Upgrade ($2,223)

· FaithWorks Pantry and Garden - Neighborhood Garden Capacity Upgrade ($4,596)

· Gifford Park Neighborhood Association - "Gifford Park to Omaha Plate" urban agriculture and life skills program ($5,000)

· Highlander Neighborhood Association - Highlander Movie Night Series ($5,000)

· Joslyn Castle Neighborhood Association - Little Free Pantry Re-Do ($1,380)

· JPF Hope Resource Center - Neighborhood Back-to-School Resources and Empowerment Fair ($5,000)

· The Locale Community - East - Wolf Pack Fund Food Packs for Youth ($966)

· Morton Meadows Community Garden - Community Garden Enhancements ($1,415)

· No More Empty Pots - North Omaha Block Party/Celebration ($4,685)

· Saddle Creek Corridor Neighborhood Association - Food Security Through Seed-Saving ($2,235)

· Seventy-Five North Revitalization Corp. - Highlander Community Day ($5,000) · Sunny Slope/Sunny View Neighborhood Association - Tennis/Pickle Ball Court Sound Block Project ($4,925)

· TILT23 - Summer of Arts Block Party ($2,500)
