Minneapolis City Council Announces Support For Dismantling Police Department After Death Of George Floyd

(Wahoo, NE) -- The Sheriff's Office says a man faces numerous charges in Saunders County in connection with a Christmas Eve shooting.

Sheriff's investigators say Wednesday afternoon, they were called to a half mile west of Highway 77 on County Road W.

The initial information indicated a male party suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to a Fremont hospital by private vehicle.

The victim and his wife identified the suspect and said they believed the suspect was still at the residence and was alone.

The Sheriff says eventually 86-year -old David Jurging was arrested.

He faces numerous charges including first degree murder.

The victim, 68-year - old Patrick Dennehy, is in in stable condition.
