(Lincoln, NE) -- A deceased person found last week in a building on a Furnas County, Nebraska farm is identified as a Lincoln woman missing for more than a year.
Lincoln Police and the Nebraska State Patrol have identified the body as that of Jerica Hamre.
She was first reported missing from Lincoln in July of 2024.
The State Patrol says her death is being investigated as a homicide, and Lincoln Police has a suspect, who is currently in custody on unrelated charges.
Investigators do not believe Jerica Hamre has an association with the property in south central Nebraska where her body was discovered.
Investigators do not believe there's any ongoing threat to the communities in the area.
