Suspect In Wounding Of Omaha Police Officer In Court

The man arrested and accused in connection with a shooting that wounded an Omaha Police Officer earlier this week makes an appearance in Douglas County Court.

A judge sets bond at 10 percent of three- million dollars for 36 -year -old Shedrick Mills.

He entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.

A preliminary hearing is set for early November.

The wounded officer, Steven Murcek, is out of the hospital and recovering.

Mills also faces charges in separate cases.
