The Omaha Public Power District this week is doing aerial inspections of high-level transmission lines and equipment.
The inspections are expected to run through Saturday.
OPPD's Jodie Baker says the utility has about 13-hundred miles of transmission lines in its 13-county service territory in eastern and southeast Nebraska.
Baker says they want to make people aware of the inspections because, in this day and age, people are on the lookout for anything unusual, especially around utility equipment.
