Governor Jim Pillen says he has accepted the resignations of Bruce Bailey and Kim Lowe of the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission, effective immediately.

Bailey was Chairman of the three-member Commission.

The resignations were provided at the request of the Governor.

They follow a federal grand jury in Nebraska last week handing up indictments against the commission’s former executive director on fraud charges, along with the part owner of two Lincoln strip clubs.

Applications for appointment to the commission will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17th.

Among the requirements, applicants must reside in the 1st or 3rd congressional districts.
