Nebraska Governor Rejects Strip Club 'Touching' Proposal

(Lincoln, NE) -- Governor Jim Pillen sends a letter to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission rejecting a proposal to lift the ban on touching by customers in strip clubs licensed to sell liquor.

In his letter, the Governor says he would have considered these changes to be inappropriate under normal circumstances.

However, after the federal indictments this week accusing the former Liquor Control Commision Executive Director of receiving a string of benefits from a club owner including sex acts, cash, free drinks, and free entry, the Governor says the proposal is particularly troubling.
