The Omaha Mavericks Hockey team will be playing abroad.
The Mavs will be playing in the 2028 "Friendship Four," an annual college hockey event held in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
This will be the first time the Mavericks, a NCAA Division One program dating back to 1997-98, will compete outside of the U.S.
Omaha will join Dartmouth, Maine and Notre Dame, with matchups to be determined.
The games will take place at SSE Arena in Belfast.
The Mavericks will be the fourth team from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference to participate in the event.
