(Lincoln, NE) -- Governor Pillen approves the adoption of newly drafted emergency regulations by the Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission.

The Commission set limits that no more than 1, 250 flowering plants can be possessed by each cultivator.

The Governor says he sought the limitation to ensure an excess of cannabis production would not lead to unregulated and unintended black-market supplies.

Crista Eggers of "Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana" tells KFAB Radio News 1,250 is a lot better than the 200 limit originally talked about, but it's a deliberate attempt to kill the program.
